Tailgating (my first time)

Football season is on - and it's madness :)

[Tailgating]

host or attend a social gathering at which an informal meal is served from the back of a parked vehicle, typically in the parking lot of a sports stadium.

Football season has begun, and that means everyone is dressing up in their teams favorite colors and weekends turn into 3-day-fan-festivals.

For a University town like Boulder, this means a huge deal. Everyone is out and about, people tailgate next to the football stadium grilling, drinking, chatting and watching the marching band play. The food and drinks are amazing.

Some of those folks have been in the same spot for 20+ years, rocking the team’s merch. For the younger crowd and new students, this the “the” place to mingle and find a friend for the night. Forget dating apps → Tailgating might be the way to go.

When it comes to clothing, it’s like a uniform. The ladies wearing jeans shorts and shirts in the team’s colors. The gents wearing shorts, team jerseys or shirts and Nike Air Force 1.

Yep, don’t judge, I fitted in perfectly, wearing all black everything á la Berlin and white Nike AirForce1. I did get the memo.

It’s an experience and I would join again just because the food is great ;)

By the way the team lost 18:38… but I think no one really cared.

đźš´ Super Health

I’ve experienced that the most impactful podcast learning don’t come from conversations with super celebrities, but from people that are more “normal” and relatable. One of my favorite episode in the last weeks is the conversation between Rich Roll and Ken Rideout.

Ken went from prison guard to Wall Street banker to elite level endurance athlete, without former experience.

đź’° Super Wellness

Wellness is not only physically, but mentally as well. One of the biggest mental tasks and concerns is money. Moving to a new city and country, I can tell you, it can be a biiiiig surprise how much more you pay for groceries.

For example, the average price for a Cappuccino in Berlin is $3.18 compared to $4.62 in Boulder, which is a 31.05% difference.

If you’re a coffee junkie like me… you better budget more 💵 for coffee.
