How To Start an Animal-Based Diet 🦬
A few weeks ago I talked about the benefits of an animal based diet.
Here is how you start:
#1 - Your WHY.
Your why is the essential mind fuel to ensure you stay on course when the going gets tough.
The stronger your why…
The stronger you’ll be when challenges arise.
You may already have a deep, strong sense of your “why”…
But if not, here’s a little trick for you.
It’s called the 5 Why’s.
The 5 Why’s technique is a simple and effective tool.
Its primary goal is to find the deeper meaning for something by asking 5 “Why” questions.
Q: Why do I want to eat animal based?
A: Because I want to get healthy.
Q: Why do I want to be healthy?
A: Because I want to feel good.
Q: Why do I want to feel good?
A: So that I have more energy for my job and private life.
Q: Why do I want to have more energy?
A: Because my family deserves it and I want to start a business.
Q: Why is this important to you?
A: Because I want to build something and financial independence for me and my family.
It takes some thinking but it is SO worth it to get clearer on your deeper meaning.
So with this example, the person's why would be…
Next step is to solidify your why.
Write it down and stick it anywhere you frequent most.
Put it on your fridge, laptop, bathroom mirror, the meat section of your grocery store (lol). Better yet, stick it everywhere!
#2 - Get rid of processed foods and seed oils
This one’s easy but CRITICAL…
You should get rid of processed foods and seed oils in your house. Yes I keep some of the items in my freezer (e.g ice cream, and others) to be a social person and I do love my toasted honey bread at nights.
Here’s a list of things to be on the lookout for:
Cooking oils (canola, grapeseed, soy etc)
Spreads, pesto, sauces, mayonnaise, salad dressings
Cereals, breads, pasta, oatmeal, granola, energy bars
Frozen dinners
Icecream, chocolate, peanut butter, candy
Potato chips, taco shells, tortilla chips
If it’s got a food label or more than one ingredient then you need to be highly suspicious.
It means it’s most likely NOT animal-based, and probably highly processed and contains seed oils.
#3 - Stock up on animal-based foods
It’s time to fill your fridge with nutritious and delicious animal-based foods.
This is how you set yourself up for success.
Let’s keep things simple to start:
Grass fed ground beef 🐄
Organs (optional) 😎
Butter, ghee, or tallow 🧈
Your favorite fruits and raw honey 🥭🍯
Raw dairy (i.e. cheese and milk)🥛🧀
It couldn't be simpler!
I hope this helps.
Have an epic Saturday,
- Sven
